KUALA LUMPUR: Toshiba TV Malaysia anticipates higher sales for its range of smart TVs, including both the Toshiba Ultra HD 4K TV series and Full HD or HD-ready series, following the branding tie-up with Qatar FIFA 2022.

“We also see some consumers prefer smaller smart TVs, especially the singles and juniors and certain working-class communities, and we also look at these markets.

“Furthermore, with our tie-up with Qatar FIFA 2022, we anticipate sales to pick up rapidly across all consumer classes in Malaysia and the region,” he said during the recent Toshiba TV product launch.

Toshiba TV Malaysia recently-launched range of smart TVs included both Toshiba Ultra HD 4K TV Series (Z770, M550L, and C350L) and Full HD or HD ready series (V31 and V35).

They offer a variety of Smart OS, including Android TV, VIDAA TV and Google TV for particular models to satisfy a wide range of Malaysian entertainment needs.

TVS Regza assistant general manager of global operation division Jason Zhu said unlike other smart TV brands, Toshiba TV did not foresee sales, production, or supply chain disruption due to the current global chip shortage.

“We have our steady production and supply chain operations in Japan and globally, and we do not foresee any disruption in terms of product stocks and supply for Malaysian and global consumers,” he said.

Toshiba TV is the official TV of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and has launched a Goal Goal TV sales and lucky draw contest from now to Oct 31.
